Welcome

Warrenton is the fastest growing community in Clatsop County and a great place to live. A quiet small town atmosphere with lots of opportunity for business development and residential growth, Warrenton has the infrastucture in place to be the growth center for Clatsop County for many years to come. Due the changes in the real estate market over the past 3 years, Warrenton has become a popular location for home buyers due to affordability and selection that isn’t offered elsewhere in the county. For example, a first time home buyer has a vast selection of new and re-sale homes to choose from and for under $250,000! New construction is available in new developments like The Orchard, Juniper Ridge, Forest Rim and Pacific Ridge Estates.

Warrenton is home to about 4,000 residents and has a k-8 grade school and the Warrenton high school. Lots of different industries are present in Warrenton as well ranging from lumber and chip mills to regional distrbution centers to manufacturing to large retail stores and specialty shops. The area near Highway 101 has seen tremendous growth in recent years and really put Warrenton on the map as the retail center for the county. The most recent commercial development on SE Ensign includes Lum’s Auto Center ( a Toyota dealer), Home Depot and a larger Costco scheduled to open in late November 2009. With the arrival of Costco, Home Depot and the planned Walmart store the area will remain a growth center and continue to attract business and retail interest for some time.
